ANCA CNC Machines’ ToolRoom RN35 software introduces features designed to help tool manufacturers improve programming efficiency, simplify setup and troubleshooting, and maintain consistent production quality.
The software addresses key challenges faced by toolrooms, including shorter turnaround times, increasing tool variety and the need for consistent manufacturing processes.
For manufacturers developing special tools and prototypes, RN35 enables users to make geometry changes directly within ToolRoom. Its Step Editor includes a free-form drawing feature, reducing dependence on external CAD software and allowing faster design iterations when requirements change.
The software also includes a Feedrate Optimizer that automatically adjusts feedrates based on wheel load and engagement. This helps manufacturers optimise grinding cycles and improve cycle-time efficiency.

RN35 also introduces practical tools that can build confidence during setup and process development. More intuitive error locations help users identify where an issue has occurred, while on-machine measurements can reduce interruptions caused by moving between the grinder and separate inspection equipment. Functions including simulation-only grind configurations and Freeze allow users to validate or compare changes before committing them to a proven process.
For high-volume production environments, the updated SPC capability gives teams clearer visibility of key measurements and process capability. Together, these enhancements are designed to help manufacturers reduce manual effort, minimise avoidable errors and support consistent long-term grinding performance. The guide highlights eight key RN35 features, as well as additional capabilities including profile fluting, VRML import and LaserUltra enhancements.
