At EMO 2025 in Hannover, Germany, HEIDENHAIN and its brands AMO, ETEL, NUMERIK JENA, and RSF will present intelligent and innovative solutions for machine tools and production automation under the motto “Empower manufacturing.” The group aims to help manufacturers increase efficiency, accuracy, and agility across diverse industries such as machine tools, electronics, robotics, medical tech, elevators, and metrology.
A major highlight will be the expansion of the TNC7 control family, which now includes new functions for shaping and cylindrical grinding, allowing users to combine milling, turning, and grinding without rechucking the workpiece. Enhanced graphical programming, simulation features, and cylinder surface machining further strengthen its usability and accuracy.
The company will also debut the TNC7 go, designed for vocational training and legacy machine upgrades. Its standout “Graphical positioning” feature enables users to draw contours directly on the touchscreen instead of writing NC programs, making it easier for learners and retrofit users to work with CNC systems.
In a global premiere, HEIDENHAIN will unveil its new programming system for creating NC programs from 3D CAD data. Using Feature-Based Programming, it extracts geometric details, enhances them with machining strategies, and generates Klartext programs, even compatible with earlier HEIDENHAIN controls. The system introduces advanced simulation tools, including rewind/fast-forward, logs for program validation, and Digital Twin management.
Additionally, the company will present Visual Tool Check software version 1.6 for its VT 122 measuring camera. Now featuring AI-based wear measurement, it automates manual processes, accelerates documentation, and delivers precise tool-condition data — particularly valuable in aerospace and medical applications.
With these innovations, HEIDENHAIN and its brands reinforce their position as system providers of advanced control, measurement, and automation solutions tailored for future manufacturing.
