Marposs has recently inaugurated a new Tech Center in Changwon, the hub of Korea’s machine tool industry. The facility is designed to showcase Marposs’ latest technologies in measurement, inspection, and automation, delivering tailored solutions for Korean customers, with a strong focus on automotive, industrial automation, and precision manufacturing.

The opening ceremony, held on September 11, featured a welcome address by Matteo Bosi, President of Marposs, followed by congratulatory remarks from Andrea Verazzi, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea and Co-CEO of Lotte Versalis, and Fabio Scapigliati, Commercial Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Seoul.

Leaders from Korea’s machine tool and automotive sectors attended the event and later toured the showroom, where they experienced Marposs’ latest solutions firsthand.

Marposs began its operations in Korea nearly 40 years ago, initially providing solutions for machine tool manufacturers and the automotive sector. Over the years, the company has expanded into additional industries such as semiconductors, aerospace, and defense.

In Changwon, Marposs strengthened its presence by opening a dedicated sales and after-sales office almost 25 years ago, laying the foundation for closer collaboration with local customers.

The new Changwon Tech Center primarily features Marposs’ sensors and amplifiers, while also highlighting its broader portfolio of automated systems such as leak testing machines and precision measurement equipment. The facility reinforces Marposs’ commitment to providing timely, tailored solutions and strengthening local engagement.

Marposs continues to strengthen its collaboration with local industries and government institutions to drive innovation and support the growth of Korea’s industrial sector.
