The TAGMA India – Chennai Chapter Meeting 2026 was held on 19 February 2026 at Hilton Chennai, drawing a full house and reflecting strong industry unity across the tooling and precision manufacturing ecosystem. The event brought together leading manufacturers, technology providers, industry experts, and MSME representatives for a day of presentations, knowledge exchange, and networking.

The session commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Devaraya M Sheregar, President, TAGMA India. Addressing the gathering, he said, “The strength of India’s die and mould industry lies in its ability to collaborate, adapt, and continuously upgrade its capabilities. Platforms like the Chennai Chapter Meeting enable members to share knowledge and collectively move forward as a stronger ecosystem.”

Mr. D. Shanmugasundaram, Vice President, TAGMA India, highlighted the evolving industry landscape in his address. He noted, “As market demands become more sophisticated, our industry must embrace advanced materials, precision technologies, and government-supported innovation initiatives. The focus today is not just growth, but sustainable and competitive growth.”

The presentation sequence featured industry leaders and experts. PCK Buderus (India) Special Steels Pvt. Ltd., the Main Sponsor, presented on premium tool steels for evolving market needs. Co-sponsors Makino India Private Limited and S&T Group shared insights on precision die-making technologies and integrated manufacturing solutions. Additional sessions by Serapis Knowledge Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the Precision Engineering and Technology Centre, and the MSME Department highlighted economic growth through manufacturing excellence and government-backed innovation ecosystems.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. K. Thiruvengadam, Co-opted Member, TAGMA India, acknowledging sponsors, speakers, and members for their active participation. The event reflected the ongoing momentum within India’s die and mould sector and the continued emphasis on collaboration and capability building.
