Hypertherm Associates, a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of industrial cutting systems and software, has announced an extension of the warranty period for its Powermax® plasma cutters. The warranty has been doubled from three years to six years, providing enhanced assurance to customers. This extended coverage applies retroactively to all Powermax plasma or gouging systems delivered on or after January 1, 2025, ensuring that customers benefit from the improved warranty terms.

Designed to address the varied requirements of metalworkers, the Powermax Series features seven portable, professional-grade plasma systems capable of effortlessly gouging and cutting metal up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) thick. Renowned for their reliability, Powermax systems also offer exceptional versatility, supporting both manual and automated metal cutting and gouging applications to meet the demands of manufacturers.
Existing Powermax customers are encouraged to retain their invoice or receipt showing the date of delivery, but do not need to take any action to benefit from the new six-year warranty for their Powermax power supplies.
