PETECH Collaborates with WFL to Advance Complete Machining in India

Precision Engineering Technologies (PETECH), a Group Company of Phillips Machine Tools, has announced a strategic collaboration with WFL Millturn Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, a global technology leader in complete machining solutions.

The collaboration aims to strengthen access to advanced multifunctional machining technologies for Indian manufacturers, enabling higher precision, improved productivity, and reduced manufacturing complexity across critical industries.

Through this partnership, Indian manufacturers will be able to leverage WFL’s globally proven MILLTURN complete machining platforms, supported by PETECH’s application engineering expertise, customer engagement capabilities, and service infrastructure.

WFL’s MILLTURN concept integrates multiple machining operations — including turning, milling, drilling, and measurement — into a single machine setup, significantly improving manufacturing efficiency and accuracy while reducing multi-setup dependency.

Driving the Next Phase of Precision Manufacturing in India

As Indian manufacturing transitions toward high-value, high-precision component production, access to advanced complete machining technology is becoming critical for global competitiveness.

WFL’s complete machining philosophy — often summarized as “Clamp once, machine complete” — enables manufacturers to reduce handling, improve consistency, shorten lead times, and increase overall production utilizations.

Nitin Mehra, President, Precision Engineering Technologies

Nitin Mehra, President, Precision Engineering Technologies, said, “Indian manufacturers are rapidly moving toward advanced, high-precision production environments. Through our collaboration with WFL, we are enabling customers to adopt globally benchmarked complete machining technology with strong engineering and service support. Our goal is to help customers achieve higher productivity, improved process reliability, and long-term manufacturing competitiveness.

The collaboration is expected to benefit industries such as aerospace, energy, heavy engineering, automotive, and high-precision general engineering, where complex component manufacturing demands multi-process integration and extremely tight tolerances.

Technology Depth: Complete Machining for Complex Components

WFL MILLTURN systems are designed to perform multifunctional turning, boring, milling, deep drilling, and measurement processes in a single setup. This significantly improves dimensional accuracy and process stability, particularly for large, complex, or high-value components.

Advanced integrated measurement and process monitoring systems allow real-time process validation, ensuring consistent part quality and improved production safety — especially important for aerospace and safety-critical manufacturing applications.

Praveen Kurup, Sales Manager – India, WFL Millturn Technologies GmbH & Co. KG, added,“India is a strategically important growth market for WFL. Collaborating with PETECH strengthens our ability to support customers with advanced complete machining solutions combined with strong local technical expertise. Together, we are focused on delivering long-term manufacturing value, technology leadership, and process reliability to Indian industry.”

Strengthening WFL’s Commitment to the Indian Market

India continues to be a key market for WFL, with ongoing investments in strengthening sales and service capabilities and enhancing local customer support.

By combining WFL’s global technology leadership with PETECH’s strong customer engagement and regional support ecosystem, the collaboration aims to accelerate adoption of next-generation complete machining technologies across India’s manufacturing landscape.
