Buyer delegations participating in the Hosted Buyers’ Programme have begun arriving at BIEMH, reinforcing the strong international character of the exhibition. Representatives from 26 countries are currently touring the six halls of the Bilbao Exhibition Centre with clearly defined objectives: to explore the latest technological developments, identify competitive manufacturing solutions, establish strategic partnerships, and anticipate the trends set to shape the future of the industry.

This initiative forms a key part of the thousands of professional visitors expected at BIEMH throughout the week. The hosted buyers represent highly qualified profiles with direct decision-making authority and strong purchasing influence within their organizations.

The programme includes executives linked to strategic sectors such as aerospace, automotive, capital goods, defence, electronics and electricity, energy, railways, shipbuilding, oil and gas, steelmaking, and industrial subcontracting. In total, approximately 300 international buyers are participating, underlining the event’s role as a powerful business platform for global manufacturing and advanced industrial technologies.

This year, the global dimension takes on particularly significant importance. The overseas campaign—expanded to new sectors and markets—has boosted the arrival of delegations from India, one of the strategic focal points of this edition, along with the United States, Mexico, Germany, Turkey, Portugal, Morocco, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, France, Italy, China, Brazil, and the Netherlands. In the case of India, around 20 companies and associations are taking part under the umbrella of the Hosted Buyers’ Programme, the result of BIEMH’s ongoing work with this market.

At the national level, the presence of buyer companies is equally significant. The event is also supported by 73 associations belonging to the main associations in Spain, representing companies that use machinery, advanced technology, and strategic industrial sectors.

Today’s agenda will conclude this afternoon with an institutional reception offered by the Barakaldo City Council at the Cargadero de La Orconera, an emblematic site of our region’s industrial heritage.

On Thursday, a new reception for invited buyer companies will take place, adding to the one held yesterday at BEC. This will complete the participation of all attendees of this edition’s Hosted Buyers’ Programme at BIEMH.
