Phillips Machine Tools India has announced a strategic partnership with 2OneLab to strengthen additive manufacturing (AM) capabilities in the country. The collaboration comes at a time when global manufacturing is undergoing rapid transformation, positioning India to tap into emerging opportunities driven by advanced technologies.

As part of the agreement, Phillips will manufacture 2OneLab’s Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) systems at its Chakan facility in Pune. This move is expected to contribute to the development of a more resilient and self-reliant supply chain for advanced manufacturing technologies within India.

Additive manufacturing is increasingly transforming how products are designed and produced across industries such as aerospace, automotive, and healthcare. By enabling greater design flexibility, reduced lead times, improved performance, and more sustainable production, AM is gaining widespread adoption globally.

Through this partnership, Phillips Machine Tools India and 2OneLab aim to make advanced additive manufacturing technologies more accessible to Indian manufacturers, supporting both large enterprises and MSMEs in enhancing their competitiveness and innovation capabilities.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Anuj Budhiraja, VP – Additive from Phillips Machine Tools India, said, “Additive Manufacturing is not just an incremental improvement—it is a complete shift in how the world thinks about manufacturing. By bringing LPBF manufacturing to India, we are enabling Indian innovators, engineers, and enterprises to harness world-class technology locally. This collaboration with 2OneLab strengthens our commitment to building India’s capabilities, competitiveness, and leadership in the global manufacturing ecosystem.”

Mr. Ran, CEO of 2OneLab, added,“India is emerging as a high-potential market for Additive Manufacturing, and our partnership with Phillips reflects our shared vision of making advanced LPBF systems more accessible and more aligned with local industry needs. We believe that India’s growing engineering talent, combined with Phillips’ deep market presence and manufacturing expertise, will accelerate AM adoption and spark new breakthroughs across sectors.”

This collaboration is set to unlock significant value for India—training new generations of AM specialists, supporting indigenous product development, and giving rise to new applications that were once considered impossible. As Indian industries adopt AM at scale, the nation stands to benefit from stronger supply chains, reduced import dependency, and a new wave of high-tech job creation.

Phillips Machine Tools India and 2OneLab look forward to contributing to India’s technological advancement and reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for innovation in Additive Manufacturing.
