Mastercam, a developer of CAD/CAM software, has announced a strategic partnership with ProShop ERP, a system of execution designed for precision machine shops. The collaboration aims to create more connected, end-to-end digital manufacturing workflows by linking Mastercam’s programming data with ProShop’s production processes.
Under the partnership, programs and program data from Mastercam, including tool lists, program numbers and cycle times, will flow directly into ProShop’s production workflow. This integration is designed to provide estimators and planners with real program data to support more informed planning and reduce reliance on guesswork.
ProShop’s native AI, Chip, can use the data to learn from actual machining programs, helping shops improve their estimating and planning processes while building greater insight from every completed job.
As part of the strategic partnership, ProShop has entered into a Third-Party Developer Agreement with Mastercam. This agreement enables ProShop to develop complementary applications and integrations, tools that exchange data with Mastercam and support tighter interoperability between programming and manufacturing operations.

The companies will showcase aspects of this partnership at IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show, held at McCormick Place in Chicago.
