Seco has introduced its new Stabilizer™ series of milling tools, designed to reduce power consumption by around 20% while ensuring stable and reliable machining of aluminium and other non-ferrous metals across a wide range of applications.
The series includes the ST4531, ST4521 and ST4321 end mills, engineered to reduce cutting forces and improve chip control. The tools support both conventional and high-speed milling strategies, enabling manufacturers to achieve efficient machining performance across different applications.
By lowering power requirements, the Stabilizer series can help manufacturers reduce energy costs while maintaining productivity and surface quality. The tools are also suited to machines with limited spindle capacity, offering greater flexibility in machining operations.

Designed to machine aluminum efficiently and smoothly
Designed to minimize vibration and chatter, the tools feature a cylindrical margin, polished K-Land, and a specialized coating that reduces material adhesion. These design elements support smoother finishes, improved chip evacuation, and longer tool life when machining aluminum.
The Stabilizer range covers multiple applications, including side milling, slotting, profiling, plunging, ramping, and helical interpolation. Available in square, radius, chamfer, and ballnose geometries, the tools offer flexibility for aerospace, automotive, and general engineering applications involving nonferrous metals.
“Many manufacturers struggle with power limitations when machining aluminum,” says Logan Walz, Product Manager for Milling at Seco. “With the Stabilizer™ Series, we focused on reducing cutting pressure and improving stability so customers can run faster, more efficient processes using fewer tools.”
