HASCO is investing in the modernisation of its production operations at its headquarters in Lüdenscheid, Germany, with a focus on standard plates, special plates and standard bars. The company is implementing a new production concept, a modern machine park and optimised processes to improve production efficiency and strengthen its competitiveness in Germany.
The redesigned production setup focuses on streamlined workflows, improved material flow, shorter transport routes and high machine availability. HASCO is also using stress-relieved steels and modern manufacturing technologies as part of the production upgrade.
Markus Büngers, CEO of HASCO, said the company’s production and process improvements are focused on creating greater value for customers through faster and simpler operations.
The investment is intended to strengthen HASCO’s production capabilities while supporting closer customer proximity and more efficient delivery of standard and customised components.
Major investment in the Lüdenscheid site
A key element of the modernization is the transformation of the machine park.
The new equipment enables high-performance, flexible production of a wide range of plates, and standard bars. By expanding in-house production, more products can be manufactured directly in Lüdenscheid. At the same time, production and transport routes are shortened, while processes, materials and machines are used efficiently. The investment therefore strengthens the competitiveness of the site and creates the conditions for cost-effective production – even when requirements for quality, flexibility and delivery speed are high. For customers, this means greater availability and shorter response times.
High-quality steel, versatile production
For its production, HASCO relies on high-quality stress relieve steels that meet the demanding requirements of tool and moldmaking. The modernized concept covers a wide variety of dimensions and versions of plates and bars. The combination of high-quality materials, modern machines and optimized processes provides the basis for the consistently high HASCO quality customers have come to expect. “Our commitment to this site is a commitment to the highest quality and excellence,” says Axel Maerevoet, EVP Operations & Logistics at HASCO, summarizing the transformation project.
Investment in Germany – for customers worldwide
With this modernization, HASCO is making a clear commitment to Germany as a production location. Lüdenscheid remains the company’s central manufacturing site and provides the foundation for reliably supplying customers around the world. The modernization therefore combines two objectives: high-performance, cost-effective production in Germany and a clear focus on the needs of customers worldwide.
