Kennametal Inc. has announced the expansion of its tooling and wear protection solutions for construction applications with the introduction of the Road King Diamond™ 303R. The latest addition to the company’s portfolio is designed to deliver enhanced durability and performance in demanding road milling operations.
The non-rotating, rugged pick combines the strength and durability of polycrystalline diamond (PCD) to achieve maximum road milling efficiency. The RKD303R features a carbide ring and bolster that provide strong abrasion protection in applications requiring extended tool life. In addition, hardfacing on the collar helps protect the block, reducing downtime associated with tool change-outs.
When paired with the company’s KPF 300-series block systems, the RKD303R supports improved machine operation by maintaining a consistent cutting pattern and cutting depth throughout the entire tool life, contributing to more reliable and efficient milling performance.
Customers will see the new RKD303R for the first time this week at CONEXPO 2026 in Las Vegas at Booth C-32742. It will be displayed alongside the entire groundbreaking Road King™ series of road milling picks that are specifically designed to maximize tool life and make change-outs both easy and efficient for milling machine operators. Kennametal’s broad portfolio of products and solutions that combat wear in foundation drilling and trenching will also be on display.
