Paraguay’s Vice Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Viveros, led a government delegation on a visit to Woojin Plaimm’s headquarters and manufacturing complex in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do, South Korea, to review injection moulding machine manufacturing operations and technical training facilities.
The delegation included officials from Paraguay’s government and public institutions, along with representatives from the Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH).
During the visit, Woojin Plaimm presented an overview of its business operations, major injection moulding machine products and production systems. The delegation also toured the manufacturing facilities to observe key stages of machine production and the infrastructure supporting equipment manufacturing.
The delegation further visited Woojin Plaimm’s Technical Training Centre, where it reviewed training programmes, facilities and hands-on learning environments focused on developing skilled personnel in injection moulding technology.
The visit provided the Paraguayan delegation with an overview of Woojin Plaimm’s manufacturing capabilities and approach to technical workforce development.
Visit Linked to Korea-Paraguay TASK Center Cooperation
The visit took place against the backdrop of ongoing industrial cooperation between Korea and Paraguay aimed at strengthening manufacturing capabilities and developing skilled personnel for Paraguay’s automotive parts industry.
A TASK Center has been established and operated in Paraguay through cooperation with Korea, with KATECH and other organizations participating in the initiative. The project supports the development of manufacturing capabilities in areas including mold technologies and plastic injection molding, as well as technical workforce training.
Woojin Plaimm injection molding machines have been introduced at the TASK Center.
Against this background, the delegation’s visit provided an opportunity to examine not only the equipment itself but also the manufacturing processes, training systems, and technical infrastructure associated with its operation.
The delegation reviewed how injection molding machines are manufactured and how technical personnel are trained to operate and apply the equipment in production environments.
Manufacturing and Workforce Training in Focus
As manufacturing technologies become more sophisticated, the introduction of production equipment increasingly requires technical training and operational support alongside the machinery itself.
For injection molding operations in particular, trained personnel are needed to manage machine settings, molding conditions, materials, molds, and other variables that affect production and product quality.
Woojin Plaimm’s Technical Training Center provides practical training using injection molding equipment, covering machine operation and injection molding processes. During the visit, the Paraguayan delegation examined the training environment and discussed how such programs can support the development of technical personnel.
The visit also allowed the delegation to observe how manufacturing facilities and workforce training can be linked as part of a broader industrial capability-building framework.
Woojin Plaimm Expands Its Presence in Overseas Markets
Woojin Plaimm supplies injection molding machines to customers in Korea and overseas and currently maintains a network of 42 overseas operations across 29 countries, including subsidiaries, branches, and agents.
Alongside equipment supply, the company provides technical support and training for the operation of injection molding systems in different manufacturing environments.
The visit by the Paraguayan delegation therefore provided an opportunity for Woojin Plaimm to present its manufacturing capabilities, production infrastructure, and technical training system to government and industry-related officials from an overseas market.
The company expects its experience with the TASK Center to provide an additional point of contact for cooperation in Paraguay and the broader Latin American market.
