At the upcoming EMO exhibition in Hannover, taking place from September 22 to 26, 2025, DMG MORI will present over 40 advanced production centres under the theme ‘Manufacturing the Future’ in Hall 2. Among them, eight will make their world debut, and a total of 33 automated manufacturing solutions will be on display. The spotlight here is on the five most important focus industries: Aviation & Space, Mobility, Die & Mold, Medical and Data & Semiconductor. This shows that technology is increasingly becoming the driving force for change in manufacturing.

Three focal points characterize the trade fair appearance and form the core of DMG MORI World: Technology, Machining Transformation (MX) and 5+X Industries. The X connects these and many other branches of industry with the Machining Transformation (MX) playing a major role. It paves the way to the manufacturing of the future and is based on Process Integration, Automation, Digital Transformation (DX) and Green Transformation (GX). How the technologies are used in practice can be experienced in the 5+X-Industries area. Lectures on the most important trends in machining complete the exhibition program.

Irene Bader, Board Member of DMG MORI, said, “What we are presenting at EMO is more than just technology – it is a glimpse into the future of manufacturing. At DMG MORI World, we connect people, industries, and innovative technologies to create a shared vision: sustainable, integrated, and automated production solutions that provide answers to tomorrow’s challenges today. It is a global meeting place for ideas, partnerships, and perspectives. Especially for small and medium-sized businesses, we create practical and future-proof concepts that promote competitiveness and innovation.”

Technology as the driver for transformation

At the heart of these added-value solutions are the innovative technologies that define DMG MORI more than ever before. They empower both small and medium-sized businesses as well as large-scale manufacturers to achieve future-ready and competitive production. This is made possible by a comprehensive product portfolio. Alongside traditional machining processes like milling, turning, and grinding, DMG MORI also offers advanced technologies such as ULTRASONIC machining and additive manufacturing using powder beds and powder nozzles—all of which will be demonstrated live at DMG MORI World.

A total of 33 automation solutions—ranging from pallet handling systems and driverless transport units to robotics and intelligent production cells—seamlessly connect people, machines, and technology. The goal is to boost efficiency, conserve resources, and support sustainable progress for both today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges.

In close collaboration with certified DMQP partners, who will also showcase their diverse product offerings, DMG MORI presents an integrated solution ecosystem that extends the capabilities of its machines through specialized peripherals.

5+X-Industries as innovation driver for machining

The focus here is on the five most important industries – Aviation & Space, Mobility, Die and Mold, Medical, and Data and Semiconductors.

Advanced technologies and the ongoing transformation in manufacturing are now taking shape through real-world industrial applications. The ‘X’ acts as the link between these innovations and Machining Transformation (MX). For decades, DMG MORI has served key industries with cutting-edge solutions. Sectors like Aerospace & Space, Mobility, Die & Mold, Medical, and Data & Semiconductor demand the highest standards of quality and productivity—and DMG MORI continues to meet those challenges with precision.

At EMO 2025, trade visitors will experience industry-specific breakthroughs, showcasing how DMG MORI’s technologies enable competitive, high-performance production, even under the most demanding conditions.

Machining Transformation (MX) paves the way

DMG MORI is presenting the DMC 65 monoBLOCK 2. Generation as one of eight world premieres. Optimized for precise  5-axis simultaneous machining, it is ideal for manufacturing turbine discs for the Aviation & Space industry.

Machining Transformation (MX) is the central theme connecting all areas of DMG MORI World, reshaping how industrial value is created. This transformation is built on four strategic pillars: Process Integration, Automation, Digital Transformation (DX), and Green Transformation (GX). Each of these pillars addresses core industry challenges—productivity, flexibility, and sustainability.

To showcase process integration, DMG MORI will exhibit multitasking machines like the DMC 125 FDS duoBLOCK μPrecision at EMO 2025, which combines milling, turning, and grinding in a single setup. This approach frees up capacity on other machines, reduces manual intervention, eases operator workload, and boosts machine utilization to as much as 7,000 hours per year.

On the automation front, DMG MORI offers a wide range of solutions for flexible and autonomous production, including pallet and workpiece handling systems and robotic products. At the show’s automation zone, the company will present automated guided vehicles (AGVs) from the AMR series, capable of handling pallets, workpieces, and tools across machining centers and turning machines—such as those in the NLX, NTX, and H-monoBLOCK series.

In the area of Digital Transformation (DX), CELOS X, DMG MORI’s intuitive, app-based control and operating system, connects the entire production process—from order planning and programming to process optimization. All CELOS X-equipped machines run in GREENMODE, which reduces energy and resource consumption by up to 30%.

This ties directly into the company’s commitment to Green Transformation (GX), recognizing that sustainability is becoming a vital competitive advantage in modern manufacturing.

New developments for the future of manufacturing

World Premiere: The NLX 2500 |1250 represents a new era of universal turning, in which flexibility and intelligent technology go hand in hand – in all key industries, from Mobility and Medical to Aviation & Space. It meets the high demands for precision, productivity, and efficiency with maximum stability, integrated processes, and individual automation options.

With eight world premieres, DMG MORI is once again advancing its product portfolio in line with the core principles of Machining Transformation (MX). These latest innovations are fully aligned with the four strategic pillars and demonstrate a strong commitment to integrated, future-ready manufacturing.

New models in 5-axis simultaneous machining—such as the DMC 55 H Twin, the DMC 65 monoBLOCK 2nd Generation, and the DMU 20 linear 3rd Generation—provide an ideal entry point into complete machining through process integration. Taking it a step further, the ULTRASONIC 60 Precision combines 5-axis milling with ultrasonic-assisted precision machining and delivers a standard positioning accuracy of 4 microns.

Also part of the new lineup is the NLX 2500|1250 2nd Generation, a powerful and versatile universal turning machine that plays a key role in the Machining Transformation approach. The NZ DUE TC, equipped with two turn-mill spindles, brings together the high productivity of a production lathe with the advantages of turn-mill complete machining.

In addition, DMG MORI will showcase the new DMV 200 and SPRINT 420 machines. Each of these world premieres is designed to be flexibly automated, allowing manufacturers to optimize production capacity. Supporting this goal is the new AMR 1000, a driverless transport system designed for autonomous handling of tools, material pallets, and chip trolleys.
