By combining technology, talent, and innovation, Phillips is setting the stage for Indian manufacturers to compete confidently in the international arena. This is not just a milestone for Phillips, but a step forward for India’s manufacturing ecosystem.”

A Global Perspective on Growth

Mr. Phillips, expressed his pride in Phillips’ growing footprint in India and its contribution to global progress. He stated that, “India has always been close to our hearts at Phillips. We have the largest team here. What’s happening in India is truly special — a mix of innovation, energy, and commitment that’s enabling the future of manufacturing. The new Manufacturing Expertise Center in Chakan represents another significant step in this direction. It’s about bringing the best global technologies and ideas closer to our customers, helping them grow, adapt, and lead with confidence.”

Mr. Phillips, added that, “It truly reflects our philosophy of ‘Experts Inspiring Expertise,’ as with every milestone like this, we strengthen our global network and our purpose — operationalize manufacturing. India continues to inspire us with its talent and ingenuity, and it’s exciting to see how this momentum will contribute to the entire Phillips family worldwide.”

Mr. Singhania, said, “I am honored to be a part of this absolutely amazing innovation of Phillips in India. This truly shows the commitment, determination, and skill of Phillips to expand its operations in India. Recently Mr. Phliips had outlined his vision for growth in the Indian market. It is amazing to see how he has converted that vision into reality.”

Mr. Singhania, further stated that, “This not only reinforces Phillips’ position in the Indian and Asian markets as world leaders, but also reflects the growing confidence in Indian manufacturing. Manufacturing is still a very small part of India’s overall GDP, and when we compare ourselves to competing countries like China, we can clearly see the gap. This facility is a step toward bridging that gap, and I am sure many other industries will follow this example. The skilling aspect is also a very unique area that Phillips is focusing on, bridging not only vocational education but also the gap between universities and industry. I wish and hope that this facility will propel Phillips to an entirely new level.”

Mr. Miranda said, “Together with all our partners who have joined us today in metrology, tooling, work holding, CAM, and more, we will inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, engineers, and students to design with freedom, to think without boundaries, to act fearlessly, and to create world-class manufacturing companies that will power the aspirations of our youth — in India, for India, and for the world. Our open house Aarohan over the next three days represents India’s rise, and we are proud to rise with a young India. To my Phillips family — and I mean this to all our 600 partners here today — I would like to end by quoting Swami Vivekananda: ‘Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.’”
