We remain significantly behind China in terms of technology adoption and other critical resources. Greater government encouragement and support are essential to elevate the industry’s capabilities and competitiveness.

Innovations such as additive manufacturing, automation, AI, and simulations are profoundly influencing the die and mould industry’s competitiveness. Additive manufacturing enables complex geometries and rapid prototyping, while automation streamlines production workflows and reduces errors. AI supports predictive maintenance and design optimisation, and simulations enhance precision planning.
