This week, BIEMH – International Machine Tool Biennial is participating in EMO Hannover, engaging with professionals from strategic sectors and key international markets in preparation for its 33rd edition. The leading global trade fair for production technology and metallurgy provides BIEMH managers and their international agent network an opportunity to strengthen existing customer relationships and forge new high-level contacts worldwide. EMO Hannover concludes this year’s calendar of major industry events, while BIEMH is set to kick off the 2026 trade fair calendar from 2 to 6 March at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
Specific issues will also be discussed in the interviews that will take place over the next few days. With just over five months to go before it opens, many companies are preparing their participation in BIEMH, finalising which state-of-the-art equipment and machines they will be putting into operation. Precisely to reinforce its distinctive value as a live technology showcase, the organisation has launched support measures this year that will facilitate the presence of large-scale machinery and solutions in operation on the stands.
The entire advanced manufacturing value chain will be present at BIEMH, whose exhibition offering ranges from machine tools and processes to tools, components, accessories, metrology and production services, as well as a specific area devoted to robotics, automation and digitalisation. Thus far, 1000 exhibiting companies from 26 countries have confirmed their participation, registering more than 2,000 innovative products in the directory. The campaign is well underway and some of its most important milestones are already being worked on, such as the drawing up of plans and the distribution of spaces, and the VIP programme for international buyers.
Interviews with industry associations and companies with high investment potential from countries such as Germany, India, Türkiye, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland and Mexico occupy a very important part of the agenda in Hannover, which will be complemented by trips to Morocco, France, Portugal and Italy, as well as within Spain, in the coming months. These are markets in which sectors such as aeronautics, capital goods, automotive, defence, energy, rail, oil & gas, steel and industrial subcontracting show high demand for industrial solutions.
With all this, and backed by a solid and diversified industrial environment, BIEMH will occupy a leading position in the 2026 calendar. It will be a year of significant challenges, in which the event will reaffirm its commitment to the development of the sector, offering a new impetus to machine tool and advanced manufacturing companies.
