Bosch Rexroth AG will present its advanced Electromechanical Cylinders (EMCs) at EMO Hannover 2025, under the product group Electric Motors and Precision Actuators.

These high-performance actuators offer a powerful, energy-efficient alternative to traditional pneumatic cylinders. Designed for both light and heavy-duty applications, EMCs are known for their hygienic design, compact form, and adaptability across various industries. The range spans from small actuators to the EMC-HP (High Power) series, capable of handling linear motion involving forces weighing tons—all with outstanding efficiency. With the Smart Function Kit Pressing, users also benefit from quick installation and reduced setup times.

Key Features & Technical Highlights:

Project planning information

  • Loads over the entire cycle
  • Required dynamics
  • Geometric conditions and requirements
  • Environmental and installation conditions

Construction

The screw drive in electromechanical cylinders converts the initiated motor torque into a linear motion. The piston rod, which is connected to the nut of the screw drive, will retract or extract – depending on the direction of the motor rotation. Both the nut and the piston rod are guided in the cylinder housing.

Intelligent drive system

  • Free programmability and realization of complex motion profiles.
  • Free parameterization of force, position and speed over the entire stroke.

Bosch Rexroth’s electromechanical solutions are engineered to optimize precision, energy savings, and motion flexibility across industrial automation needs.
