Guiding systems for die making

The guiding system is one of the most important components of a properly functioning die set. Meusburger offers a comprehensive, interchangeable range of bearing and sliding guides for a wide variety of applications. There are numerous combination options between guide pillars and guide bushes. The guides are also compatible according to DIN/ISO and optimally matched to the standardised Meusburger die sets.

Depending on the application: bearing or sliding guides

Bearing guides ensure maximum guiding speeds and high stability thanks to low rolling friction and preloaded rolling elements. They are preloaded between 4 and 15 μm depending on the guiding diameter. Meusburger offers both ball and roller guides. The main difference here is the contact surface of the rolling element. Sliding guides can transmit maximum shear forces due to the large contact surface.

Numerous combination options
In addition to standard guiding, Meusburger also offers special guiding systems: for small installation spaces, the modular concept, and large dies.

Compatible guides according to DIN/ISO
Thanks to the compatibility of the guide pillars and guide bushes according to DIN, they are easily interchangeable. This leads to high flexibility in the design of the guiding system depending on the application.

Optimally matched components and accessories
The fitting dimensions of the guiding elements are perfectly coordinated to the standardised die sets from Meusburger. This guarantees consistent standardisation of the die sets.
The range of accessories includes elements for cage positioning, pillar and bush retainer plates as well as components for pillar and bush mounting.
