HASCO introduces DLC-coated flat guides for injection moulds

0

HASCO has introduced its new Z1861/… DLC-coated flat guides, designed to improve sliding performance and ensure reliable guidance in injection moulds. The solution addresses key challenges such as friction, wear and inadequate lubricant distribution, which can affect guide functionality and service life.

Designed for demanding operating conditions, the new flat guides feature a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating that supports optimised sliding properties. They also enable targeted lubricant distribution, helping maintain smooth movement and reliable operation over extended periods.

With this development, HASCO aims to enhance the durability and performance of slide guidance systems in injection moulds, while reducing wear-related issues.

The combination of a DLC coating and integrated lubrication grooves enables both lubricant-free operation and the use of lubricating greases. At the same time, the lubrication grooves can also act as dirt traps, collecting wear particles and contaminants that can then be easily removed during cleaning. This creates favourable conditions for reliable guidance and low-wear operation.

In addition to their excellent sliding properties, the flat guides feature precision manufacturing and a high-quality surface finish. Fastening with the socket head cap screw Z32/… also ensures easy installation.

With the flat guides Z1861/…, HASCO supports mouldmakers in achieving reliable, long-lasting slide guidance through the optimised interaction of coating, lubrication and precision.
