Mold-Masters Consolidates India Operations with New Coimbatore Facility

Mold-Masters has consolidated its India operations into a new purpose-built facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, bringing engineering, manufacturing, sales and aftermarket services under one roof. The move is aimed at strengthening customer support across India and neighbouring markets.

Spread across 133,000 sq ft (12,350 sq m), the new facility replaces the company’s three existing locations and offers nearly four times the space of its previous India operations. The expanded infrastructure is expected to enhance manufacturing capacity and service capabilities as plastics processors across the region increasingly focus on improving production efficiency and product quality.

The consolidation is also expected to improve operational efficiency and response times, enabling Mold-Masters to provide faster customer support while strengthening its manufacturing and aftermarket service capabilities in the region.

“2026 marks almost two decades of our presence in India. Our customers rely on us not only for technology, but also for responsive local support throughout the lifecycle of their equipment.” said Hans Hagelstein, Global President, Mold-Masters DME. ” This facility brings to life our vision to expand our India operations, and it further strengthens our partnership with customers. The new facility enables us to scale our manufacturing, engineering, and service capabilities while improving the speed and efficiency with which we support customers across the region.”

The facility supports manufacturing Mold-Masters hot runner systems, temperature controllers, and related components. Beyond manufacturing equipment for regional processors, the Coimbatore facility serves as a strategic global engineering hub, providing design, CAE, and CAM programming support to Mold-Masters manufacturing operations worldwide.

The facility also strengthens Mold-Masters’ aftermarket service capabilities for the region, including spare parts support, repairs, cleaning, refurbishment, and field service programs. Locating these services in a single location will help reduce downtime and maximize equipment performance for customers who will benefit from enhanced local capabilities, faster access to expertise, and a stronger foundation for future growth.

“As our customers face increasing pressure to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and launch products faster, the centralized operation enables Mold-Masters to streamline collaboration between teams involved in project design, manufacturing, service, and customer support,” adds Swapnil Sankhe, General Manager, Mold-Masters DME India Private Limited.
