Purohit Steel India Ltd Highlights Range of Advanced Tool Steels at DMI 2026

Highlighting the growing importance of advanced tool steels in modern tooling and manufacturing applications, Purohit Steel India Ltd will participate in the 14th Die & Mould India International Exhibition (DMI 2026), organised by TAGMA INDIA and scheduled from April 21 to 24, 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

India’s die and mould industry is rapidly strengthening its role in the global manufacturing ecosystem, supported by sustained economic growth, expanding domestic consumption, and international supply-chain diversification strategies such as China+1. As global manufacturers increasingly seek reliable sourcing partners, India’s tooling ecosystem is gaining recognition for its precision manufacturing capabilities and material innovation.

At DMI 2026, Purohit Steel India Ltd will present a focused portfolio of advanced tool steels designed for demanding tooling applications including injection moulding, stamping, forming, extrusion, and forging. The showcased range will include Injection Mould Steels, Hot Work & Heavy-Duty grades, and Cold Work tool steels, engineered to deliver durability, machinability, and performance in high-productivity manufacturing environments.

Among the grades being showcased, SmatV is suited for non-corrosive critical injection mould applications, delivering stable performance and reliability. VR300HH, an improved 1.2738-type grade, offers enhanced hardness, improved machinability, and reduced tool wear for high-productivity operations. For hot work and heavy-duty applications, Durah61 provides excellent wear resistance suited for extrusion and forging industries, while Dumac11 supports extended tool life in stamping and forming processes, enabling consistent performance in high-cycle production environments.

DMI 2026 will serve as a key platform for the die and mould industry to showcase technological advancements, build partnerships, and explore export opportunities, further reinforcing India’s position as a competitive global tooling hub.
