The UNITED GRINDING Group will exhibit a wide range of machine tools at the BI-MU, Milan

The UNITED GRINDING Group will exhibit this year four machines from its cylindrical grinding, surface and profile, and tool machining technology groups at BI-MU, as well as a selection of its UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™ products.

In the field of cylindrical grinding, STUDER will present its latest automation solution: the insertLoad together with the S31 universal external cylindrical grinding machine. This automation solution combines the advantages of standardization and great flexibility and can be operated via the C.O.R.E. panel. As a versatile universal external cylindrical grinding machine, the S31 is suitable for small to large workpieces with different production requirements in individual, small, and series production thanks to its modular system and high configurability.

In surface and profile grinding, BLOHM presents the PLANOMAT XT Essential, the competitive surface grinding machine in the entry-level segment. This 3-axis machine is specially optimized for the requirements of surface grinding using the reciprocating and creep-feed method.

In tool machining, trade visitors can also look forward to the HELITRONIC MINI PLUS tool grinding machine with C.O.R.E. technology, which is particularly suitable for the flexible production and resharpening of small and medium-sized tool diameters. The innovative Laser Contour Check option for the non-contact measurement of various tool parameters on cylindrical tools can be seen live in action on this machine. The HELICHECK PLUS CNC measuring machine can also be experienced live at the show. Thanks to the additional fourth camera with 400x magnification, it can also capture and measure the smallest geometries on cutting tools.

Interested visitors should also not miss the live demonstration of the group’s digital assistance systems, UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™. Thanks to a direct and secure connection from the machine’s C.O.R.E. panel to the UNITED GRINDING Group’s Customer Care Team, operators can receive support quickly and easily from a distance. This is possible via the so-called “Remote Service”. In addition, the production data of all connected machines can be monitored in the “Production Monitor” – at a glance and in real time.
