Ace Designers Expands with New Ahmedabad Facility to Boost Production

Ace Designers Limited has inaugurated a new assembly facility at Panchratna Industrial Park in Ahmedabad, marking a key step in its expansion strategy. The plant is designed to produce up to 4,000 machines annually over the next five years, including 3,000 turning machines and 1,000 machining centres.

The new facility is the company’s seventh plant in India and its first outside Karnataka. It will also be the first unit where both turning and milling machines will be produced under one roof.

Speaking at the inauguration, Bill Shukla, Joint Managing Director, highlighted that nearly 40 percent of the company’s business comes from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and North India, making Ahmedabad a strategic choice. He noted that the region’s strong ecosystem of MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and vendor partners will support faster deliveries, shorter lead times, and improved customer responsiveness.

The facility will begin operations with around 100 employees and is expected to expand to nearly 350. It will focus on strengthening localisation through regional vendor development and the deployment of a skilled workforce, contributing to a stronger manufacturing ecosystem.

Shukla also expressed strong confidence in India’s growth trajectory over the next decade, aligning the company’s plans with the country’s manufacturing ambitions. After delivering around 10,000 machines last year, the company now aims to double its output to 20,000 machines within the next four years.

The Ahmedabad facility has been designed to incorporate advanced manufacturing processes and digital technologies, supporting the production of high-precision machine tools for sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and general engineering. Leadership emphasised that the new location will enhance proximity to key industrial hubs, enabling better collaboration, faster service, and improved customer support.

Shukla also acknowledged the support of customers, partners, and employees, reaffirming the company’s commitment to delivering world-class quality from the new facility.
