HASCO Launches H5055 Hole Filter for High-Efficiency Mouldmaking

HASCO has unveiled its new H5055 hole filter, an innovative solution designed for demanding filtration applications in mouldmaking. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the H5055 is engineered for use in machine nozzles and sprue bushings, ensuring optimal performance even under challenging production conditions.

With its robust design, the new hole filter sets new standards for efficiency, durability, and process reliability, helping mouldmakers achieve longer tool life and improved production consistency.

Optimised design for maximum efficiency

The filter’s design features more than 1,000 holes, making it unique on the market. It reduces shear, helping to preserve the mechanical properties of the plastic while minimising pressure loss. Thanks to its sophisticated structure with angled holes, melt flow is optimised, shear stress is reduced, and pressure drop is kept to a minimum. The conical geometry ensures the melt is evenly distributed across all the holes. Sediment can be removed from the outside with ease – reducing maintenance, extending service life, and minimising machine downtime during production.

Proven performance at Magnetfabrik Bonn

At Magnetfabrik Bonn – one of Germany’s leading manufacturers of high-quality magnets – the new HASCO hole filter H5055/, is already in successful use.

“The results speak for themselves,” says Marcus Mohr, Head of the Toolmaking Division at Magnetfabrik. “We were able to reduce injection pressures by around 20 percent while maintaining high part quality and significantly extending service life.” This performance was achieved under extreme conditions. The moulding compounds used at Magnetfabrik contain abrasive metallic fillers, with filler content exceeding the typical levels found in MIM and CIM injection processes.

Filter cleaning has also been simplified: impurities collect on the outside and can be removed easily. “The new design convinced us. We are now gradually converting our production to the new model,” adds Mohr.

Satisfied customers, stable processes

Magnetfabrik Bonn has worked successfully with HASCO for over two decades. Sales Manager Frank Burilov highlights the strength of the partnership: “HASCO supports us with innovative products and practical solutions, helping us to stabilise our processes and further enhance quality.”

With the hole filter H5055/…, HASCO adds a high-performance, low-maintenance, and long-lasting solution to its comprehensive product range. The filter delivers excellent results with low pressure loss, high efficiency, and reliable performance – even under challenging production conditions.
