Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal India Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of cutting tools, successfully inaugurated its new warehouse facility in Navi Mumbai. The grand opening ceremony was held at the Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel on September 16, 2024.
The event was attended by esteemed business partners and representatives from Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal India Pvt. Ltd. The proceedings commenced with a welcoming address by Atsushi Murayama, Chairman of SHIN.
Following the introduction of the company, the chief guest, Toshihiro Kaneko, Chief Consul of the Consulate-General of Japan, delivered a captivating presentation on the rich history of India-Japan cultural and trade relations spanning over 130 years.
Kazuyoshi Kimura, General Manager of the Hardmetal Division at Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd., provided insights into the Sumitomo Group’s 400-year legacy and the significant advancements made in the machining industry. He also outlined the company’s ambitious plans for future growth and development.
Mr. Michinari Asano, Managing Director of Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal India Pvt. Ltd., shed light on the state-of-the-art infrastructure and strategic plans for the company’s Indian operations. The audience was further enlightened by Mr. Tetsuya Hamada, General Manager – Technical, who showcased the upcoming launch of innovative new tools.
