HANNOVER MESSE 2026 will highlight the role of energy systems in factories and industrial facilities, bringing together representatives from industry, the energy sector, and politics to discuss approaches for a secure, climate-neutral, and competitive energy supply.

Scheduled from 20 to 24 April 2026 in Hannover, the event will showcase how robust energy technologies can help manufacturers improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a secure energy supply.

In Halls 11 to 13, exhibitors in the “Energy & Industrial Infrastructure” area will present products and services focused on electrified and sustainable energy supply for manufacturing. According to the organizers, these solutions, combined with AI, will contribute to the development of smart grids, storage technologies, and sustainable mobility concepts.

The area features the topic clusters “Power Engineering & Energy Automation”, “Energy Infrastructure & Storage Solutions”, and “Hydrogen Technologies”. Exhibiting companies include Altech Batteries, the European Commission, Helukabel, Horiba, Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT), Lapp, PC Vue, RWE Generation, Salzgitter, Schneider Electric, SFC Energy, Siemens, and TÜV Nord as well as various Fraunhofer Institutes.

Visitors find solutions for current demands as well as insights into future energy systems. They also benefit from direct proximity to fields such as Industrial Internet of Things, cloud computing and IT security that have a direct impact on the development of energy systems.

“Sustainable energy in manufacturing is only possible through a combination of technology, infrastructure and innovation,” explains Basilios Triantafillos, Global Director Trade Fair & Product Management at HANNOVER MESSE. “We present these solutions bundled in the ‘Energy & Industrial Infrastructure’ area, which highlights how manufacturers can make their production processes efficient, flexible and low emission. AI plays an increasingly important role here, because it helps cushion peak loads, control processes intelligently and ensure grid stability.”

Power Engineering & Energy Automation

Future-oriented production processes require precisely regulated, efficiently controlled and seamlessly integrated energy. At the “Energy Technology & Energy Automation” cluster, exhibitors demonstrate automation solutions, switching and distribution technology, digital twins, and AI-supported control systems. Visitors learn how combining traditional energy technology and Industry 4.0 principles can create a smarter, more environmentally friendly and adaptable energy supply.

Energy Infrastructure & Storage Technologies

Resilient and flexible energy systems are essential for sustainable manufacturing. The “Energy Infrastructure & Storage Solutions” cluster showcases robust grids, digital grid services, and stationary and mobile storage solutions, including batteries and thermal systems. Exhibitors explain how to combine renewable energies, intelligent load management, and storage solutions. The goal is to ensure a reliable supply and stable production while integrating electromobility.

Hydrogen Technologies

Hydrogen plays a key role in efficient, climate-neutral manufacturing. At the “Hydrogen Technologies” cluster, exhibitors demonstrate how to integrate hydrogen directly into industrial processes using practical examples that range from process heat in chemical and steel production to modular applications for factories At HANNOVER MESSE, roughly 300 exhibiting companies present hydrogen-related products and services while educating visitors about the broad potential of hydrogen in an industrial setting.

The special display “Hydrogen + Fuel Cells EUROPE” is the main venue for hydrogen-related topics at HANNOVER MESSE, focusing on solutions for decarbonizing manufacturing, hydrogen infrastructure and industrial applications. The exhibition area is complemented by networking events, a forum, and master classes, that expose the trade audience to the latest developments and manufacturing methods while enabling direct contact with producers, research institutions and international partners.
