DN Solutions Debuts Metal AM Systems at Formnext 2025

DN Solutions Co., Ltd. announced that it successfully showcased its metal additive manufacturing systems at Formnext 2025, the world’s largest exhibition for 3D printing and additive manufacturing, held recently in Frankfurt, Germany. This event marked the company’s debut participation at Formnext. From November 18–21, DN Solutions presented its DLX Series PBF (Powder Bed Fusion) metal additive manufacturing equipment, alongside the second-generation DVF 5000 five-axis machining center.

During the exhibition, DN Solutions demonstrated how additive and subtractive technologies can function as a unified, end-to-end production workflow rather than as separate manufacturing processes. This was illustrated through a live, connected demonstration featuring the DLX 450D additive build, unpacking, automated pallet transfer, and subsequent post-processing on the DVF 5000. While additive manufacturing is often treated as an isolated capability, DN Solutions is positioning it as an integral part of a streamlined and continuous manufacturing process.

The DLX Series—comprising the DLX150, DLX325, and DLX450—offers a PBF-based metal AM lineup with a range of build sizes, all developed with DN Solutions’ proprietary technology. The DLX 450D, equipped with dual lasers, bi-directional recoating, and a build volume of 450 × 450 × 470 mm, delivers the high productivity and process stability required for producing high-value metal components.

Software features essential for AM job preparation are also provided through DN Solutions’ own in-house solutions. This fully integrated hardware-software control enables flexible response to customer needs and supports part designs that consider post-processing on CNC machining equipment from the earliest stages of additive manufacturing.

Vino Suntharakumaran, Vice President and Head of Additive Manufacturing at DN Solutions, emphasized, “DN Solutions is setting new standards in metal processing—making additive manufacturing more precise, scalable, and economically sustainable.”

DN Solutions is also expanding its global Additive Solutions Center, a space where customers can directly experience the capabilities of metal additive manufacturing. The company plans to open its European center in Gütersloh, Germany, in early 2026.

DN Group, the parent company of DN Solutions, is an innovation-driven manufacturing group that leads global markets across machine tools, automotive components, and battery technologies. Established in 1971, DN Automotive has grown from tire-related vibration and noise reduction technologies into broader automotive and battery solutions. The group expanded into the machine tool sector by acquiring DN Solutions in 2022.
