Marposs appoints Francesco Possati as Group President

Marposs has announced the appointment of Francesco Possati as President of the Group. He succeeds his father, Cavaliere del Lavoro Stefano Possati, who has led the company since 1990 alongside his brothers Edoardo and Alberto, steering Marposs into a global benchmark with operations in 34 countries. Stefano Possati will now take on the role of President Emeritus.

The leadership transition marks the entry of the third generation of the Possati family at the helm of the company. Founded in 1952 by Mario Possati, Marposs continues to uphold its family-led entrepreneurial model, with a strong focus on continuity, technical excellence, and innovation.

Francesco Possati joined Marposs in 2013 at the Group’s Chinese headquarters in Nanjing, focusing on production process optimization. Since returning to Bentivoglio in 2015, he has held roles of increasing responsibility in Human Resources, Product Management, and as Head of the Manual Gauging Division. He currently serves as Group Vice President and General Manager of the Bentivoglio HQ.

“I take on this role with a strong sense of responsibility and with the determination to continue the path traced by my family,” said Francesco Possati. “In a rapidly evolving economic and technological landscape, our direction remains clear: sustainable growth driven by Marposs’ core values—technical integrity, technological innovation, and continuous investment in people.”

Stefano Possati added, “This generational transition reaffirms our family’s long-term commitment to the Group. Francesco has demonstrated competence and a deep understanding of Marposs’ values, which have always guided our focus on innovation, people, and lasting relationships with customers worldwide.”
