Tungaloy Corporation and NTK Cutting Tools have announced plans to merge NTK Cutting Tools with Tungaloy, effective January 1, 2027, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Following the merger, the combined organisation will operate under the Tungaloy corporate name, while continuing to retain the NTK Cutting Tools brand. NTK Cutting Tools will function as a dedicated division within Tungaloy, building on its technology, heritage and expertise in the cutting tool industry.
As part of the integration, Tungaloy and NTK Cutting Tools have also finalised plans for a new headquarters and advanced manufacturing facility for NTK Cutting Tools in the Nagoya area of Japan. The multi-million investment is expected to expand production capacity, introduce advanced manufacturing technologies and create a modern environment for manufacturing, engineering, marketing and corporate operations.
The merger and planned facility are aimed at bringing the strengths and capabilities of both organisations together while maintaining the identity and expertise associated with the NTK Cutting Tools brand.
