Sandvik Coromant’s ‘TechDays 2025’ to Highlight Smart Manufacturing Solutions

Sandvik Coromant India is introducing a globally established knowledge-exchange format, ‘TechDays 2025’, to the Asian market for the first time. Scheduled from 19–21 November 2025 at the Sandvik Coromant Center in Pune, the three-day event is designed as an open, interactive environment where manufacturers, engineers, and technology partners can explore practical, end-to-end manufacturing solutions. Unlike conventional conferences, the formats encourage free movement, direct discussions, and live problem-solving with experts across the manufacturing value chain.

Across three days, visitors from various industries including automotive, aerospace, general engineering, oil and gas, and MSMEs will have the opportunity to explore technologies and solutions at their own pace. Each partner will host dedicated booths showcasing innovations in CAM programming, simulation, verification, smart machining, and cutting tools.

Key experiences include:
• Live machining demonstrations featuring next-generation milling, turning, drilling, and tool management technologies
• Technical seminars highlighting trends, software capabilities, and machining strategies
• Production unit visits offering a behind-the-scenes look at how tools and solutions are developed
• Direct problem-solving sessions where visitors can bring specific challenges and evaluate potential solutions onsite

The event brings together Mastercam, Vericut, pro-micron GmbH, and Metrologic Group, all of whom are part of the Sandvik Group portfolio. This allows companies to explore a unified manufacturing workflow from design and programming to machining, inspection, and verification without having to coordinate with multiple independent vendors. By consolidating solutions under one roof, the event eliminates the typical fragmentation that manufacturers face when building or improving a production line.

A unique element of TechDays 2025 is the Manufacturing Wellness corner, a framework based on eight operational habits derived from global studies of long-standing, successful manufacturers. The concept draws parallels with personal wellness habits, translating them into organizational behaviours that contribute to long-term resilience, efficiency, and sustainability.

The Eight Habits of Manufacturing Wellness include:
• Taking a holistic perspective instead of focusing on isolated improvements
• Embracing new technology and staying aligned with industry trends
• Choosing a sustainable path aligned with global climate targets
• Eliminating waste across time, materials, and manpower
• Using the potential of data to convert information into actionable insights
• Benefiting from strong partners to accelerate capability and innovation
• Developing people to address the persistent industry-wide skills gap
• Automating for success by integrating automation meaningfully rather than superficially

By launching the TechDays format in India, Sandvik Coromant is setting the stage for a more collaborative approach to manufacturing improvement, one where tool intelligence, machining strategies, digital systems, metrology, and automation work together rather than in silos.
