The 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena continues to grow

With over 80 exhibitors, the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena figures among the most successful special shows at HANNOVER MESSE. Next year will see the three partners VDMA, ZVEI and Deutsche Messe continue their cooperation at HANNOVER MESSE 2025, with the VDMA represented by the Wireless Communications for Machines Working Group (WCM), ZVEI by 5G-ACIA, and Deutsche Messe contributing its 5G Smart Venue as a campus network to the project.

“We are organizing the 5G and Wireless Arena next year for the third time, and can look back on a real success story. It has become the biggest event of its kind in Europe, and will continue to grow,” says Thomas Möller, Senior Project Director at Deutsche Messe. “Center stage at the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena will once again be taken by the forum, where the diversity of potential applications in industry will be discussed, among other topics.”

“The 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena at HANNOVER MESSE is a unique platform, offering an excellent opportunity to check out the latest developments in the industrial ecosystem via real-time demonstrations, expert lectures, and direct interaction with leading companies. We are delighted to continue this successful joint event together with our partners and to continuously expand it,” says Nadine Petermann, head of the 5G-ACIA working group.

“Connectivity plays a crucial role in the digital and sustainable transformation of industry,” says Miriam Solera, Managing Director of the VDMA WCM. “The tremendous interest and feedback in 2024 has established the 5G and Industrial Wireless Arena as a leading innovation hub for industrial wireless communication. In 2025, too, we shall be looking to bring together the most advanced expertise at the event and present tailored, reliable solutions for industry. After all, wireless communication technologies are an essential aspect to consider when discussing the digital transformation.”

Leading exhibitors included companies such as Telefonica, Siemens, Qualcomm, Rohde&Schwarz, Pepperl+Fuchs, Fraunhofer and Ericsson. They provided information on the latest advancements and showcased a variety of ways in which wireless communication technologies can be applied. These technologies are of crucial importance for the industrial sector, as they help enable the networking of machines and equipment.
